Hospes Palaciode Los Patos Granada Location Rating: 4.5/5.0
The hotel is located just outside Granada’s old center in a vibrant, if fairly mundane, new neighborhood. The Alhambra and the winding lanes of the two main ancient areas, the Albayzin and the Realejo, are only a 10 to 15-minute walk away. The airport is a 20-minute cab ride away, while the railway station is roughly 15 minutes away.
The magnificent hotel is built with outstanding interior designs and extravagance. It is the most stylized and luxurious hotel in all of Granada. It features a blend of attractive gardens, restaurants, and spas, all in place to offer personalized service to make you feel at home; they show you the most magical and surprising places in their cities.
Architecture of the Hospes Palaciode Los Granada Rating: 5.0/5.0
Located 650 meters from Granada Cathedral in a 19th-century palace, Hotel Hospes Palacio de Los Patos is a stunning luxury hotel with a spa. The refined royal structure has a garden with fountains. The Hospes Palacio de Los Patos unites an uncompromisingly contemporary new wing of design with a palace. The palace’s alabaster-white interiors are modern rooms designed with metals, glass, and stone. We were amazed how they did not miss even the small details. It’s luxury at it’s best where we felt like royalty for the few days we were there.
42 elegantly designed rooms make up the hotel. Hospes Palacio de Los Patos’ opulent rooms feature a modern style while preserving the original furnishings of this landmark building. A beautiful vegetal curtain is created by the palm and magnolia trees in the hotel’s front yard, which also houses the swan-filled fountain. A wall of exposed brick and stone engulfs the building, while planters and irrigation ditches add color and sound to the pergola-covered structure.
Style and Stairway Entrance at the Hospes Palaciode Los Patos
One view we couldn’t get over was the magnificent staircases; they looked nothing short of those told in fairy tales. They were large and marbled, topped with artfully lighted chandeliers and curated wooden crafts and designs that gave the perfect dose of adrenaline you would feel in an actual royal palace.
Rooms at the Hospes Palaciode Los Patos Rating: 4.8/5.0
The palace and a nearby glass-paneled extension together house the 42 rooms. And it’s certainly worth spending more money for superior accommodations in the main building, from the Junior Suites to the expansive presidential suite. We stayed at the junior suite, and it was worth every penny.
Our suite featured one hour per night at the spa, which included a Turkish bath, a thermal pool, and a dry sauna. You could also request rooms facing the gardens, but everyone agrees that no facility in the Dreamer’s or Alabastro’s room can’t compare to that in the main palace building.
Room Service/facilities at the Hospes Palaciode Los Pastos Rating: 4.8/5.0
The staff of the hotel was always smiling, phenomenal, and very attentive; they helped with many tips to get the most out of our stay. They called us by our first names and made check-ins and check-outs effortless.
Hospes Palaciode Los Pastos Check-in/Check-out Process Rating: 5.0/5.0
Check-in and check-out time was always 3:00 pm and 12:00 pm, respectively. We were allowed early check-in and late check-out as Marriot Elite member which was a big plus. The room was always clean as well.
SPA Facilities at Hospes Palaciode Los Pastos Rating: 4.6/5.0
The Bodyna spa features a small indoor pool, a sauna, and a hot tub, in addition to a number of treatments, facials, and massages with a Balinese influence. With contemporary meeting areas for up to 60 people and lots of outdoor space, the hotel is a surprisingly appropriate location for small conferences, events, or corporate trips. Other amenities include Free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, air conditioners, laundry, free parking, a steam room, etc.
While using the spa, it felt as if it was a private spa booked just for the two of us. You have to book your spa time slot, which tells us that they go to far extent to ensure it does not over crowd and keep it’s royalty feeling/experience.
Restaurants & Breakfast at the Hospes Palaciode Los Pastos Rating: 4.5/5.0
The hotel breakfast buffet was amazing and included pastries, cereal, fruit, cold cuts, and a few cooked options upon request. The breakfast area were amazing with a very attentive service and view. Highly recommend you don’t miss the breakfast at least for one night. If you go for the Junior suite room, it seems like most rates would includes the breakfast at that room category.
The restaurants also had excellent taste and quality that matched that of the hotel. Restaurante Fondillon, for example, serves local dishes with a true Mediterranean taste in minimalistic decorations; Fondillon Barra serves a variety of tapas menu at their Alicante counter; La Terraza de Amerigo with their signature cocktails, and El Bistro de Amerigo with their Sunday brunch. In the midst of the fruit trees and tinkling fountains in the garden, there are frequently live jazz or poetry readings on steamy summer nights.
Lobby at the Hospes Palaciode Los Pastos Rating: 4.9/5.0
The lobby at our favorite Luxury Resort & Spa in Granada – Hospes Palaciode Los Patos is at a different level. It’s a trip back in time to a royalty days where you are enjoying a real palace resting area (shown in the above photo) with so many windows to wonder through the city streets as you read your morning news paper or sipping your coffee or tea. Unfortunately we were not able to spend enough time to give this lobby it’s justice as the Granada city had tons of amazing things to do and see. We were promising ourselves in spending more times in there everyday we passed by, but our trip finished so quick. We have still managed to enjoy a bit a couple of drinks in there, but we will plan a bit more time in there on our next visit.
Child-care at the Hospes Palaciode Los Pastos
The hotel welcomes children; cribs are available; smaller children stay free, and babysitting may be arranged, however, with a clearly adult atmosphere and few amenities.
In Conclusion – Over All Rating: 4.8/5.0
Hospes Palacio de Los Pastos hotel in Granada is a nice and unique hotel destination that prioritizes its customers and serves a blend of historical, royal, and architectural comfort. Its authenticity and traditional values also give tourists the opportunity to connect with their culture and people.
